Apply for University Fellow

The Institute for Jewish Ideas and Ideals welcomes your application for the Campus Fellowship for academic year 2019-2020!

Applications are considered on a rolling basis so don't delay. Apply today!

The application consists of a brief section of personal information, 4 short-answer questions (under 150 words), and 1 essay question (approximately 1 page). Freshmen and other students who will be new to their chosen campus may answer the first two short-answer questions as befits their situation.

Campus Fellows will help introduce students to a vision of Orthodoxy that is intellectually sound, spiritually compelling, and emotionally satisfying. The purpose of the program is to give college-age Jews a safe opportunity to engage with each other, debate, ask questions, and seek knowledge about issues pertaining to Orthodoxy.

The Fellow's responsibilities include putting on two programs per semester and helping to expand the University Network on his or her campus. Collaboration with Hillel and other existing campus organizations is encouraged but not required.

A stipend of $300 per semester is available to Campus Fellows, as is a materials budget of up to $150 per semester. If you would like to bring in a paid speaker, the Institute for Jewish Ideas and Ideals can also negotiate the honorarium (within reason).
